Combat
(1) Combat is turn based. This means that you make a post and wait your' turn to post. If there are more than two people, figure out who goes before who. After everyone has posted once, the first person may make their second post.
(2) No autoing or godmoding. You control only your' own character, so don't post automaticly hitting some one without giving them a post to defend with. No one in the galaxy is a god. You have stats for a reason. If you make a post trying to do something not within your' power to do without the consent of the other player, it is void.
(3) An attack undefended hits. If (or more accurately 'when') you are attacked you must make a deffensive action at the begining of your' post or you are automaticly hit. This is because you have such a small amount of time to evade an attack that if you don't take your' chance you will likely die. Defensive actions include stepping out of the way of the attack, using the apropriate force power to deflect the attack, or even moving an object into the path. These aren't always surefire ways to survive an attack though... a thermal detonator tossed at your' foot will still kill you if you move your' foot out of its' way (such weapons have a radius you need to move out of and simply moving your' foot is not enough to leave the radius).
(4) Attacker calls damage. If you are hit by an attack the attacker gets to call how deep the blade cuts into you or wether your' agile leap was enough to only be grazed. If you are the attacker and you damage your' self, be realistic... a bomb tossed at your' foot will not just move harmlessly around you and kill everyone else... you'll die in the blast as well.
(5) All non-standard weapons involved in the fight must be on your' profile. If you requested a unique weapon, you must put it on your' profile. If you fail to do so or have not done so before the fight, you do not have it for that fight.
(6) Force powers count as either a move, defense, or attack. The type of action will be stated in the description of the force power.
(7) You have one attack, move, and defense action per turn.
- If you have two weapons you may use each once against two seperate targets as an attack.
- if you are attacked by multiple attackers, you may defend against two (if you also move you could leave the area of the remaining attacks).
- The defense always comes first but you may move before or after your' attack.
- Ranged weapons may be fired twice at the same location on one character or at two seperate characters.
(8) Only two NPCs may be controlled in combat without permission. Obviously world leaders or interplanetary crimelords will have more than a few henchmen they can toss into battle while they escape. NPCs and characters have different turns (which means their own seperate posts), to seperate this have the name of each NPC in brackets like (Naboo Royal Guard 1).
(9) No kill is final. If you wish to contest a kill, log the battle and post it on the forums. A moderator will go over it and do a play by play before posting wether the kill was valid or not. If another moderator disagrees they can post why. The kill is only final once an odd number of moderators have said 'dead' or 'alive' and given a reason why within 24 hours of the battle, until then assume the "dead" character either is left to die or the body is dragged off (alive or not). This is between the combatants and should also be logged. If the final verdict is 'alive' then the character was not killed but stabilized and will recover from the injuries sustained during the battle.
